You Asked, We Answered

WHAT ABOUT ALL OF THE MESS?

I take every precaution to ensure any mess from sweeping is contained. The appliance is sealed using various methods dependent on the size and shape of the opening.Floors and soft furnishings are covered to give extra peace of mind and I use a HEPA filtered specialist vacuum to ensure the finer particles are removed also.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE MY CHIMNEY SWEPT?

It is recommended to have your chimney swept at least once a year but depending on usage it may be more. If there is a blockage such as a birds nest this needs to be removed before usage(some restrictions for removal  may apply) I will discuss the usage and recommend how to get the best out of your appliance and when you should schedule your next sweep.

ARE YOU INSURED?

Yes, I have public liability insurance cover of £5million.

CAN I BOOK FOR MORE THAN ONE CHIMNEY IN MY HOUSE?

Yes, get in touch and we will arrange a time and a discounted price too!

COULD MY STOVE BE CONDEMNED IF ITS NOT SAFE?

Unfortunately yes, I will do what I can to get you up and running, however there are certain faults that require an appliance to be condemned. There may be issues that need to be rectified by your installer. Ultimately it is about keeping you safe.

ARE THERE ANY HIDDEN CHARGES?

To sweep your chimney no.
If there are other issues such as nest removal, replacing the stove rope, installing a CO alarm then yes these will incur a charge, but don't worry I will always communicate with you beforehand and make sure you are happy to proceed.

WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE YOU ARRIVE?

To make sure I can get to work straight away, please remove any ornaments or pictures from the mantle, clear out any ash or items waiting to be burned from the fire, clear a space in front of the fire. But most importantly please make sure it is cool.
